FIVE GOOD SINGAPORE STOCKS

The recent episode about the southing of Noble Group stock price as well as recent sagas over beleaguered offshore and marine stocks highlight the importance of good fundamentals for listed entities. From all these years of my investing experience, before an investor could even talk about a stock being a growth stock, the investor has to better ensure that the company he or she invests in has essentially low or zero debt. And to ensure that his pick is a valued one, the investor could invest in stocks which are undervalued.

Here are Five Singapore stocks with the lowest Debt-to-Equity ratio (maximum of 0.50%) and having a very low Price-to-Book ratio (maximum of 0.50):

THE HEDGEHOG INVESTOR

HEDGEHOG CONCEPTDear readers, recently I come across a concept called “The Hedgehog Concept”. It is an interesting concept about using the Power of Simplicity to Succeed. WILL THIS STOCK CONTINUE TO RALLY?

Moya Asia stock
As early as Feb 2017, I have been sharing with readers on my take on Moya Asia stock (you can read the post here . Since then, Moya Asia stock has moved in my expected direction: NORTH slow and steady.

Yesterday, Moya Asia stock rose by an impressive 7.4% on a strong volume of 76.7 million to close the trading day at $0.101. This price level is a significant one since Moya Asia stock has been testing the $0.098 price level in the previous few trading sessions, unable to break above the $0.10 resistance; thus yesterday, this price level was finally broken.

NOBLE GROUP: TOM K’s STORY FINALLY REVEALED

Noble Group stock
Looking at the current Noble Group stock performance, I could not feel a little pity for this once-great company and a little bit nostalgia for the stock. Noble Group was the first stock I bought years ago when I started my first foray into the Singapore Stocks markets. When I bought Noble Group stock then, it was after some time of analysis using just plain excel spreadsheet and my humble manual plots of moving averages. That analysis of mine and the first stock investment of mine was a success, pocketing me $500 or around 25% based on an initial investment amount of around $2000.

Extrapolated on a longer time scale, the macro drivers are what are known as “mega trends”. A mega trend is a trend that shapes the world, for instance, the mega trend of negative and low interest rates environment in the past few years. Some investors are using the concept of mega trend where it comes to finding the next profitable investing idea. Some mega trends include ageing, Artificial intelligence and the growth of developing countries.

When investors invest in stocks, they are actually investing in the companies behind the stocks, no matter how stock prices fluctuate as over time, it is the performance of the company which will have a greater effect on the stock price. DO JUSTICE TO YOUR CAREER

Singapore stocks
Recently, Minister Mr Chan Chun Sing suggested in a public engagement session that employees should do justice to their jobs, instead of wishing to find the perfect job. What I believe Mr Chan’s message is, is simply about doing one’s Best in one’s job. When one does his Best in his job, he would be able to create more value to the employers. And with that, recognition in the form of promotion, higher salaries and or higher responsibilities should normally come.

SINGAPORE STOCKS: WHAT SHOULD INVESTORS KNOW?

Singapore stocksI read an article which I believe all Singapore Investors should know. This is something that investors here should be happy about and proud of. What is this article about? Well, the Singapore Stocks Exchange is the world’s most globalized stock exchange. Of all the companies which are listed here, about 37% of them are based overseas. And of these overseas companies, 42% are based in China, 25% in Southeast Asia and 15% in Hong Kong. This means overseas companies here in Singapore stocks markets are Asia-centric, this also bodes well for Singapore stocks markets since Asia is one of the world’s fastest growing region.

SELL IN MAY AND GO AWAY?

Singapore stocks
Dear readers, we are entering into the month of May. Many investors would have learnt of the saying: “Sell in May and Go Away”. So will this adage bear out for investors in May 2017? Though the adage is a saying, but if geo-political tensions are such that they bring uncertainties to the stocks markets, then investors might choose to exit the stocks markets. We must not forget that we have the French Presidential Election outcome. Though many expect Ms Le Pen not to win, who knows that she could be the victor in the Presidential Election ultimately?
