PINTEREST, ZOOM VIDEO TO DEBUT ON US STOCK EXCHANGES TODAY

Dear readers, today, another two of the highly-watched US IPO stocks will debut the trading on the US stock exchanges today. They are Pinterest and Zoom Video. Interest in these two US IPO stocks are likely to fuel a volatile trading on their first day of debut, so investors looking at buying these stocks on their first day of trading debut should bear the above in mind.
A recent US stock debutant, the widely-touted “Amazon of Africa”, Jumia Technologies had its US IPO price at USD 14.50. On the first day of its trading, its stock price rallied to over USD 25 or by about 75%. After reaching $49.77 (its highest stock price), Jumia stock closed at USD 39.17 yesterday.

As such, investors looking at US IPO stock should do so from an angle of really wanting to own the stock on a long-term basis because of interest and liking in the business or business model. Dear readers, US President Donald Trump announced at 2pm 8 May 2018 (US time) while many of us were asleep that US would pull out of the Iran nuclear agreement and to impose “powerful” economic sanctions on Teheran. Oil prices did not rally after Trump’s announcement though there was some price volatility in oil prices before the announcement. Analysts thought that pretty much, the above move has already been earlier factored in the recent higher oil prices by traders and more importantly, Iranian oil production would unlikely be impacted by US pulling out of the agreement unless Donald Trump can convince other allies to reimpose sanctions.
