While there are many ways you could support good causes, in no matter how small a way, here I would like to share with All of you one way which I do my small part on a regular basis.

As I do not have too much a spare time to spend to do volunteering, I prefer to make regular donations to support good causes.

And being an individual who likes to know exactly where my hard-earned monies goes to in helping good causes, I really like the idea of knowing just how my donation goes into meeting the needs of the charities.

That is why I really like the “Shop & Donate” feature of FairPrice Online. There on the “Shop & Donate” Feature, you could see exactly what over seventy charities need for their monthly groceries.

And there is really plenty of flexibility for you to determine exactly how you wish to support the local charities’ grocery needs.

First of all, you could select any of the local charities featured whose mission you believe in so as to make the contribution to.

Second, you could specify just what items you would wish to support the charity. There is no need to purchase the entire monthly grocery list for the charity though it is definitely more than welcome if you were to do so. And what’s so, on the “Shop & Donate” feature webpage, you could even select the quantity for the items you wish to donate. For example, I just think how rice is such a staple of our Asian diet here, and hence I may at times just zoom in to purchase a bag of rice for a particular charity.

After discussing about the concept of the “Shop & Donate” feature, let me briefly walk you through the process of making the donation to the charities. Actually, the entire process of selecting the charity you wish to donate to and the items from the charity’s grocery list you wish to purchase for the charity really works just like how you would do an online shopping for yourself. Right to the final step of entering your credit card information after adding all the items you have selected for purchase onto the shopping cart.

After entering your credit card details and making the payment for the groceries you bought for the charity, the process is complete. Thereafter, you could sit back while FairPrice Online consolidates all the orders for the month toward the end of each month. Upon delivery of the items you have chosen to donate to the charity, you would receive a pdf invoice sent to the email address which you have provided FairPrice online with. And the payment for the grocery will be finally made in your credit card statement next month.

I really like how the “Shop & Donate” feature helps me to better know what the needs of the charities are; and just exactly how my monies would go together meeting their needs.

I also like the process of the having a choice of choosing which charity to support to and just how many and what items I would like to donate to the charity.
