ATMS SEEM TO RUN OUT OF NEW CURRENCY NOTES? MY STORY REVEALED!

Singapore Stocks
Dear readers, some ATMs on our island seem to be running out of currency notes? I heard it first over the radio a few days ago when listeners called into the radio station to comment that certain ATMs had run out of notes. Then I happened to see it for myself when passing by some folks who were withdrawing cash from some ATMs. But then, it happened to myself yesterday when I tried to get hold of an ATM just so that I could have some cash (which coincidentally I have run out of in my wallet) to pay for that coveted western dish which I had travelled all the way from home to partake (cash is the only payment accepted at the Western food stall).
Anyway, without cash, I thought of an advice a man whom I asked had for me: convenience shops nearby. Hence I went to the nearest convenience shop, bought an item (as advised by the shop assistant as a “pre-requisite” to withdrawing some cash), then paid for the items and the amount which I requested to withdraw using Nets and there I had it, some cash in hand to partake my sumptuous western meal! It also turned out that this was my first time I withdrew cash from a convenience shop, all for the sake of good food!

Anyway I am not sure whether the fact that a number of ATMs had run out of cash has to do with the exchanging of currency notes for the upcoming Chinese New Year. If banks are crowded and people would not want to wait (read my related story here https://singapore-stocks-investing.blogspot.com/2019/01/my-experience-exchanging-for-chinese.html); then the next option would be those “pop up ATMs” at selected community centres. But by the virtue that not all community centres have these pop up ATMs and the crowds at these places are also long, I am not sure whether people would have turned to the ATMs next and helped themselves with the withdrawal of the currency notes they need to pack their Angbaos. And would that have caused some ATMs to run out of monies?

Oops, by the way, not sure whether convenience shops would be the next frontier for those wanting to lay their hands on currency notes whether for Angbaos or not? An idea hor from this post of mine?
