MARCH 2019 SINGAPORE SAVINGS BONDS: WHY I AM HAPPY!
Dear readers, the details of the March 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds had just been recently released. Let us look at the average annual returns of the March 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds with the recent tranches to take a look at just how they compare.
As we could note from the chart above, again, the longer-term and shorter-term returns have been reduced. And if we go further upstream in the last few tranches we could just see how the latest Mar 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds stand out.
If one is to buy into the Jul 2018 Singapore Savings Bonds tranche, the annual yearly return based on a 10-years holding period would be 2.63% versus the 2.20% of the Mar 2019 Singapore Savings tranche.
I am hence happy to have bought into the Jul 2018 tranche of Singapore Savings Bonds and the subsequent tranches where the longer-term annual average returns were still higher. Notwithstanding that the 1.95% return for the 1st-year of holding the Mar 2019 Singapore Savings Bonds are also rather decent and reasonable, given the very low investment risk.
Hence, if there are very good opportunities and offers in the markets, we should always act fast. Join the emailing list to receive regular Financial and Singapore stocks newsletters too!
