Dear readers, ever since Chinese New Year, one of my stocks has gained 50% in price! If you are sharp enough, you would have noticed that the Singapore Stocks markets are closed on Chinese New Year holidays and hence the stocks which I am talking about must be overseas stocks. And yes, you are right! I am talking about overseas stocks: US stocks to be exact! And yes, one of my US stocks which I am holding has gained 50% in price ever since Chinese New Year.
By virtue of the large international markets of some US stocks, it is not uncommon for US stocks to gain by multi-fold leaps as versus Singapore stocks where markets for most tend to be small. That is why Singapore listed companies have always wanted to venture to external markets as the next stage of growth. And their overseas venture is not without risks.
