THREE POSSIBLE NOTEWORTHY SMALL-CAP STOCKS FOR YEAR 2018

Singapore Stocks 2018
Dear readers, we are into the start of Year 2018. Time will progress fast and before we know it, we would be looking at the names of the top gainers for Year 2018. In my belief, and as backed by previous years’ statistics, the top gainers in any year would always tend to be the small-cap stocks. While part of the winning equation for small-cap stock gainers would reside on good fundamentals and results, the other would have to lie on the mathematics of having a small price as a base (hence any gain would be large in percentage).
In the small-cap stocks sector, there are three possible noteworthy names which I am rather interested to look out for, in Year 2018. The mention of these three names should send most of the investors recalling. Recalling to year 2013, where three stocks whose prices have been elevated to triumph over some good blue-chips stocks, suddenly plummeted and further headed south in the days to come. The collapse of the penny stocks saga wiped off at least $8 billion from the Singapore Stocks Exchange while it is unclear till now how many investors had invested in these three stocks and at what price since to-date, the prices have indeed headed south by more than 90% for each stock.

Blumont, Attilian (formerly called Asiasons and this stock is currently suspended) are the names of these three stocks. It is interesting to see whether the investigations and trial in relation to this penny stocks saga will shed any light of this episode this year and if so, what the outcome of the penny stocks saga will be on the price of these three penny stocks.
