APPLY OCT 2018 SINGAPORE SAVING BONDS BY TODAY

Singapore Savings Bonds
Dear readers, a gentle reminder that the Oct 2018 Singapore Savings bonds application will close by 9pm tonight. Interested applicants for the Savings bonds could apply through their respective bank ATMs and Internet banking.
The Oct 2018 Singapore Savings bonds pays an interest of 1.74% for the first year and thereafter the annual interest rate increases till 2.42% for the average return per year at the 10th year of holding (more details of the Oct 2018 Singapore Savings bonds here ). In my previous post (which you can read here ) ; I shared with readers how the annualized return (based on the 10-year holding period) of the Singapore Savings bonds has trended down from a high of 2.63% for the Jul 18 bonds to the low of 2.42% for the Oct 2018 bonds. But by and large, I still think that for a holder to hold the Singapore Savings bonds to the 10-year maturity period, the over than 2.4% annualized return is something which is decent.

I would think investors who like liquidity and for their monies to work harder in parallel should park some monies in Singapore Savings bonds and the time could be now since there is a current trend that returns of the bonds are heading lower. We want our monies to earn higher returns once there is opportunity to do so. Join the emailing list to receive regular Financial and Singapore stocks newsletters too!
