MUSING OVER COIN CHANGE EPISODE

Dear readers, I recently bought a cup of coffee from a coffeeshop in town.

The coffee costs $1.30 and it was a good day to start the day with a cup of nice coffee (yes the coffee turned out to be quite nice).

I gave the cashier $2 and was given change: one 50-cent and one 20-cent coins.

After consuming the coffee and the usual musing over coffee, I went back to the stall and asked to change my coins into 20-cent coins as I needed them.

The coffee stall assistant rejected my request and I left the shop regretfully.

I understood that the coffee stall has no obligations to change coins for me, but I believe the stall assistant can do more by acceding to the request of a customer who has bought coffee from the stall for the coin change.

We should have Bigger Hearts in our community to help one another when the others are in need of help.

The above episode left me wondering how long it will take for our society as a whole to become one where many help one another sincerely and proactively.

I can understand quite a number of us are feeling tired after long hours of work but Kindness begins with us today.
