Singapore Stocks Dear readers, welcome to the Chinese New Year of the Pig. If you are a believer in Fengshui, then there is one stocks market which you may wish to consider investing in the Chinese New Year of the Pig. So read on to find out just which stocks market this is.
This Chinese New Year marks the Year of the Pig. The Pig is called “Zhu” in Hanyu Pinyin pronunciation. And “Zhu” itself is also the pronunciation of the Chinese word for “Pearl”.
So when it comes to looking at the macro markets in relation to “Zhu” for Pearl, one would immediately recall “Pearl of the Orient”: Hong Kong which is called “Dong Fang Zhi Zhu” in mandarin.

On 31 Dec 2018, the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index closed at 25,845.70 and the index last closed at 27,990.211. Hence, year-to-date gain for the Hong Kong Hang Seng index for 2019 is around 8.3%; which is really quite respectable.

For investors who believe in Fengshui but most importantly the long-term investing potential of the Hong Kong stocks, you may wish to consider investing into Hong Kong stocks in this Chinese New Year of the Pig.
